Der Windhund

The Netherlands, Belgium. Der Windhund is a Dutch re-enactment group, who act the role of the German 116e armored division during World War II. On several historic locations in Europe, they fight against the Allied Armies. Re-enactment at this level, is very precisely and has nothing to do with fascist sympathies. Every small detail is of great importance, to relive history as close as possible. For the actors it’s also a way to honor the fallen soldiers and keep the memory of the Second World War alive.
