Armand

The Netherlands. Protest singer Armand, known as the Dutch Bob Dylan, made his debut as an artist in 1967. His song ‘Ben ik te min?’ spent 14 weeks in the charts. His albums include socially critical lyrics, often inspired by the hippie-ideology. Armand was a keen advocate of cannabis and kept performing with beat group The Kik, till the very last. During his 50-years career he made numerous records and was an inspiration to many generations. Armand died in November 2015 at the age of 69.
